This week has flown by…I started out the week kind of down in the dumps, but by Tuesday night I had had enough of that and made the decision to be grateful, thankful and happy. Because sometimes you do have to think about it…and then slowly, you stop having to think about it and having to try and suddenly it’s almost Friday, and you’re at your best friends house, all caught up on your deadlines, watching Rob and Big while he raps Gangsta’s Paradise, blogging and reading an email from a wonderful blog friend about a job that has your name all over it and you realize (again) that things always work out, and you’re going to be just fine.

Better than fine, actually.

On this weekend’s agenda-laying out and reading…Southern Cali finally got the memo that hi, it is actually summer, so maybe the sun should shine. OH so I’m reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo like everyone else, and having a really hard time getting into it-but it’s worth it, right?

Also on the agenda- dragging said bff to Umami Burger and Wasteland on Melrose.  Good times.

And last, but not least-I’m on We Love Dates talking about butterflies and new beginnings. I originally posted this a year ago, and the butterflies are back.

Do you guys realize that as of 10:30 pm PST, BLOGGERS have raised over $2000 for Love Harder? That Love Harder has over 100 FB fans? That today alone over THREE HUNDRED bloggers posted a “Love Harder” post? That the system crashed today because there were so many people trying to donate at once? It’s truly amazing what this community of ours can do when used for good.

I was hoping the new collection would weaken my obsession with you. Nope. I personally, love where Christophe Decarnin has gone and I know some might not share my views, but hi, my blog.

You’ll be getting a break from contacts from time to time now! In discussing our plan to take over the world, Mandi of Mandizzle showed me THESE frames…and I die. Finding glasses I love has been such a challenge! Must. HAVE. We’re gonna be twins, lady.

CONGRATULATIONS MY LOVE!! One year ago Mandi opened Mandizzle, and she is blowing UP! Dreams do come true! She is a complete inspiration, fabulous friend and I freaking love her. FRIDAY. I love you, really…it’s been too long. So I’m not really over here today…

When fellow LA girl/fashionista Nina at Femme Rationale asked me to be part of her Proust Questionaire Series, I was so honored and well, tickled PINK. Nina is kind of a big deal I was a fan of her blog from a distance until we became friends. I’m in awe of her style, her travels, her overall badassness, not to mention she’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Chrystina update…She’s awake, she’s awake! And hopefully able to come home soon, if it’s this weekend, I will be going to see her, no doubt! Ohh maybe take the top down?! She thanks you all so much for your prayers, positive thoughts, emails, comments, etc…she hasn’t been able to respond because she’s been sleeping beauty, which gave her body time to recover a bit from the trauma.

Hey loves..Happy Friday.

Can I just tell you how weird it feels only blogging three times this week? I’ve tried to hit your blogs but I am super sick still, so I will be using this weekend to catch up! I feel like I’m not sitting at the cool kids table anymore! Thank you for all the get well wishes, you guys are incredibly caring and sweet…turns out my tonsils have got to come out sooner rather than later. I haven’t been this sick in a LONG time…and I’m really frustrated because I had to postpone my interview til tomorrow, but considering I sound like a post op tranny and still feel horrible, I HOPE I can reschedule again to Monday. I hate seeming flakey, and this is a really amazing job…but if it’s meant to be, it will work out…at least that’s what I keep reminding myself. I keep claiming this is career suicide…always was one to lean towards the dramatic side of things. Regardless, I’m pretty bummed out but life is a roller coaster, right? And I’ll be back on the upswing of things soon.

Having delirious dreams about Mean Girls, Sororities, Brooke and Drollgirl. -high fever people, high fever. Breaking my addiction to Diet Coke because that strict Gabby says the sugar will only make my throat hurt worse.

Reading LA Candy finally! It’s actually good and requires zero thought so it’s perfect for sick days. (I know I’ve used this picture before, but I really like the cover. Sue me.)

Happy Friday!
I am not doing anything productive today. Just sayin. No work, no thinking too hard about anything, maybe painting my nails. This weekend is gonna be a good one, I’m excited. By the time you read this, I will probably be at the pool, reading your blogs from the Bberry. Just sayin.

Online Dating Volumes 1 here and 2 here if you’re new to the…fun.

Now, I have A LOT of (fake ha) hair. (I didn’t name this blog Unbeweavable for nothin!) First date hair vs mellow hanging out with the girls/family hair are 2 different animals, right? Can I get an AMEN on that? I didn’t want to start fully getting ready until I heard from him.( Total date hair inspiration below, love it.)I call and it goes straight to voicemail where I leave a very mellow, casual message. (Inner monologue-am I being punked? wtf?)

He calls me at 1030-I am home watching the Devil Wears Prada and hoping my dog doesn’t have a heart attack due to the fireworks.(Ms. Bella is not a fan.) Leaves VM “I really need to talk to you. Please call me.” etc, etc.

We’ve since talked again and made plans…again. I like him. Am I making a big mistake? Don’t answer that. Everybody deserves a second chance, right? ( Answer that one.)

My weekend wasn’t a complete failure! I did a lot of this…

I made Sangria last night! Pretty proud of myself as my sis usually handles these things (these things being anything in the kitchen), while I usually handle drinking them! Check it out on my sister’s blog here. But remember I MADE IT haha. Oh sisters. Yes, to answer you all who caught that on my last post-Gabby, She Wrote and I are twins! Crazy, right? Yin and yang or whatever… but there is nothing like being a twin!
