This week has flown by…I started out the week kind of down in the dumps, but by Tuesday night I had had enough of that and made the decision to be grateful, thankful and happy. Because sometimes you do have to think about it…and then slowly, you stop having to think about it and having to try and suddenly it’s almost Friday, and you’re at your best friends house, all caught up on your deadlines, watching Rob and Big while he raps Gangsta’s Paradise, blogging and reading an email from a wonderful blog friend about a job that has your name all over it and you realize (again) that things always work out, and you’re going to be just fine.

Better than fine, actually.

On this weekend’s agenda-laying out and reading…Southern Cali finally got the memo that hi, it is actually summer, so maybe the sun should shine. OH so I’m reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo like everyone else, and having a really hard time getting into it-but it’s worth it, right?

Also on the agenda- dragging said bff to Umami Burger and Wasteland on Melrose.  Good times.

And last, but not least-I’m on We Love Dates talking about butterflies and new beginnings. I originally posted this a year ago, and the butterflies are back.

Thank you all so much for being part of my week long blog birthday party! I have one more giveaway below but first I want to say a few things…I’m happy a new year of blogging is here. I am going into this new year with a lot of the same goals and hopes that I have for 2010. I’m letting go of some things, learned a lot but I’m in a much happier and healthier place, and I know this will be reflected in my upcoming posts. If we don’t evolve or grow-as bloggers, as writers, as people…what’s the point?

However, I haven’t done a fashion or beauty post in forever, and I’m not ok with that! I’m excited to get back to the fun, I’m excited to keep on keeping on, to smile and I’m glad to know you. I have met some of the loveliest, kindest people through this blog-people who remind me what is truly important.

On that note-my friend Lauren took her pants off for Haiti. The shirt she’s modeling can be purchased here, for only $15-100% of the proceeds go to the Haiti relief effort. It’s printed on American Apparel and says “Until we are all free” I’m buying mine now.

I also want to direct you to my girl Tiffany at I am Style-ish-please check out what Tiff and her brother Billy are doing to help Haiti. Incredible.

And last but not least, check out the new website for loveharder! Over $3,000 has been raised in a week.

My first giveaway ever was a Ritzy Misfit. Brooke of RM and I instantly bonded and when her pendants were worn on the Bachelorette last season, I freaked out as if it was a friend I’d known forever. Hey Dolls…
I had a very long weekend…and I’m exhausted. I was lacking in inspiration, and started going through the images I’ve collected in hopes of finding something, anything. These worked. I get that this isn’t going to be one of my greatest hits, and I’m ok with it! My head is a jumble of thoughts and I don’t want to punish le blog! I hope you had great weekends!
