Pick up some wine for dinner and save!

Maybe it’s because this post is sponsored by wine, but it’s going to be completely random.  Just one of those weeks!

My boyfriend got me a lovely present today. I’ll show, not tell.

Don’t believe what they say-the romance never ends, people.  No, it was (obviously I hope?) a joke. The smell almost knocked both of us out…it’ll be staying in the package.

I have no idea how to use Google+, I delete every email that says someone “added me” and I’ve only logged in once.  The thought of having one more thing to check makes me anxious and stabby.  Some may call it social media suicide, I call it sanity. But I mean, yeah totally add me.

This week, I’ve purchased both a juicer and a bag of chia seeds, both of which should be arriving any day now. I’m not quite sure how to use the chia seeds, and part of me can’t believe I paid for, and am eager to consume, a chia pet.  Recipes, anyone?

On the work-out front, lately I’ve been asking my boyfriend to kick my booty in the garage by putting me through his psycho weight routine and it’s a little alarming how he doesn’t take it easy on me at all! Rude.

I think I say this every year around this time (I’m too lazy to look-wait no I’m not) but…I can’t WAIT for fall! I know it’s cliche but I can’t help it.  Fall fashion tickles me in ways that summer and it’s flip flops and sundresses never could.  Boots and boots and sweaters and not sweating when I curl my hair and scarves and red lipstick without looking super weird. You know what else is weird? How there is already Halloween candy at the store. Slow your roll, life.

Lots of cool titles like pop culture magazines.

I’m feeling the intense urge to change my hair color. This happens every few months in my world. I’m leaning towards jumping on the “ombre” train, not for any reason other than it looks like a legit way to let my roots show as long as possible. My hair grows like a WEED.

The problem with taking pictures of the gorgeous actresses and models into my stylist for reference is the mild delusion that comes along with it. You know?   I say I just want the color…but I’m always a little disappointed I don’t walk out looking EXACTLY like Giselle or Jessica or Jennifer.  Le sigh :)


I almost can’t believe I’m going to pay someone a significant amount of money to make me look like I don’t touch up my roots.  I mean, fairly certain I do that pretty well on my own…for free.

I feel like this is along the lines of women who wear a ton of make-up only to appear as if they aren’t wearing any at all.  You know-face wash ads where some youngin from One Tree Hill or the like is splashing water on her face?  You ain’t foolin anyone, sweetheart.

God, trying to look effortless is so exhausting.

I’m still a pirate. Scratched corneas are a bitch. It’s difficult for me to be online right now, so an actual post isn’t in the cards. I’m revamping some things around here anyway…so I’ll be back. In the meantime, here’s a completely gratuitous picture from a lovely wedding we went to last weekend…I loved my little blue dress, and my guy is decent arm candy, but I was mostly excited about wearing my contacts. I think the vodka tonics helped me forget the pain. Don’t they always?

So last night, I was talking to a swoon worthy fellow, and I was all, “yeah, what time can you leave in the morning for Coachella?” TOTALLY THOUGHT TODAY WAS FRIDAY.  To the point of being genuinely surprised, and so so SAD when he was like, “Liz, tomorrow is Thursday.” UGH, I hate that feeling.  I also don’t feel good.  So sore from Steven the Trainer. (More on him next week.  And yes, he’s hot, I know.)  So I’m whiny.  I only have 2 more days left of this cleanse, so I’m sticking to it. I miss sangria.

Hey dolls…

Let’s cut to the chase. I kinda feel like that girl up there probably does… except I’m not walking in the street with a really cool headband on. But I do have the same zombie-esque expression on my face. I have had the craziest weekend, and I don’t know how much to share, or how to even put into words what I am feeling right now. I’m pooped, life is nuts, things hit you out of nowhere and I need my bed and lots of water, but here’s a quick weekend update…

The fair was fun…for a “non fair type of girl” (according to my sis and my Mom). I don’t know whether to be offended or not, but whatevs. I saw a bunch of people get “hypnotized”, saw some Weird Al nonsense, held an avocado the size of my dog, drank a Stella, but didn’t eat any crazy fried food…that mean hooker Jillian Michaels would be proud. And I have come to the conclusion that I do NOT OWN fair appropriate footwear. So maybe my Mom and Gabby are on to something…

I saw Bruno and the Hangover (again) this weekend. Not a fan of Bruno, did you guys like it? Def liked him on T.V better. The Hangover was just as funny the second time around, I think…well, I don’t really know, because I was making out with the.hottest.guy.ever. through most of it. WAIT, WHAT?!

Drinking margaritas and listening to the Black Crowes while having an amazing convo with said hottest.guy.ever is a fabulous way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Just sayin.

Excited, hurried bathroom phone calls to really good friends are still fun no matter how old I get, as is making out in the car like a teenager. JUST SAYIN. Le sigh…

I have missed your blogs and been a horrid commenter but you know I love you and will be stalking you accordingly in the A.M. I hope you all had fun weekends!
