• Friday night-Dinner and cocktails with Jessica. Good girl talk. It was nice to hang out with someone who is at the exact same place in life as me-”technically” single, career minded and just kinda going with the flow. It was super fun and badly needed. I wasn’t having a very photogenic evening…I looked like casper next to Jess! Whatev, can’t win em all! Speaking OF…COME ON LAKERS! Boo. Ok. Moving on…

• Then the boy came to meet up with us, and surprised me with a bottle of the rare vino we’d loved when we had dinner inside Disneyland a few weeks ago. Aw. Points!

• SATURDAY! Intended to sit on my bum, read blogs and watch T.V until getting ready for our dinner date but he surprised me again with…let’s go to the Getty! Ok, I know it was a Saturday in L.A but the traffic was particularly more heinous than usual…and the Getty was so crowded. Like typical L.A folk, we hate crowds and tourists, so pass.

• On to Griffith Park, because why would that be crowded too? Ha, yeah…basically we would have had to park in Downtown L.A and hike all the way up, and I was wearing heels of course…but it was pretty driving up in the hills, listening to good music.

• Well. We tried. New plan…DRINKS! Tapas and sangria at the coolest, most authentic lil Spanish bar on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. I highly recommend Bar Pintxo. Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Spanish cheese? Yum! Third street is a fun place to walk around and see some amazing, and some not so amazing street performers too.

• Then we went to see 2012. I hadn’t heard of this movie because the action/adventure/end of the world genre is notsamuch my thing, but it was really good! Completely unrealistic and cheesy, but John Cusack can really do no wrong in my eyes and it seemed kinda fitting to see a typical Hollywood blockbuster after spending the day playing tourist in L.A.

• Do ya’ll like my new blog design?! I LOVE IT! I wanted something so fresh and so clean clean…and my girl crush Annemarie from Brunch at Saks did an ahhhmazing job!! We talked on Friday and my blog was done by Sunday! We’re still playing with a few things too. I love her to pieces and can’t wait to hit some sample sales and force her to be my new L.A partner in crime! If you need any blog help, you must must must go to Annemarie! Srsly. Thank you lady, love you!

Obsessed. Yes, we are ALL DYING FOR FALL, fall fashion is the best, and sweating doesn’t really work for me…there is NOTHING I feel more confident in than a tight but not too tight 3/4 sleeved cashmere sweater, perfect jeans (my go-to’s are True Religion and Joe’s) tucked into boots with at least a 4.5 inch heel, add accessories up the ying yang and I am feelin gooood. When you have um…curves, summer attire can easily translate into looking slutty without meaning to. At least for me, because I am very self conscious of the “boobs” those 14 year old pervs are google searching.

I once ever so innocently found myself involved in a lot a bit of an inter-office romance with a flippin HOT coworker. It was fall/winter, so the variations on the above outfit were endless and I just generally felt like a confident, badass B walking around and tossing my hair (I promise between all that I actually worked.). His office and my office were fairly close, his office having open windows to the hallway…so you better believe I took the route that would have me strutting by his office windows whenever possible, aka all day long. I was on a mission! SHAMELESS I tell you. Unbridled badass boot confidence can do that to a girl…

For a while we were like this, totes mcgoats smitten and I think, high off the “danger” of it all….meaning, it’s so fun to separately stroll into a big meeting after leaving the same house (WHAT?)…and because he was a funny…in a co-worker voice he’d say, “so how was your night, Liz?” from across the conference table…Uh…I just guzzled coffee and IM’ed him to shut it trying not to giggle. Could they smell the scent of scandal in the air, I wondered??

Note to self-AMEN for a reminder that being single is fun, confidence does come from within but badass boots can help, and dating a co-worker can lead to mayjah awkwardness! Life Lesson #48997 learned the fun way! Bwahahahaha…(He still calls, p.s. hmm a lot lately….to be cont.) Also, I no longer work there, and that is in NO WAY due to this litte rendezvous. There were NO casualties, I promise, I value my career so therefore all funny business was saved for after hours. K thx stop looking at me like that…
