Hey Santa,

I don’t know what got into me tonight! I’m pretty sure some of the things on this list will put me on a one way train to Naughtyville, but Santa, trust when I say this is the innocent version. And I’m really nice usually, and say BADASS in a loving, warm fuzzy kinda way. Anyways, here is my Badass Christmas list…some things I need, some things I love and some things that are just pure badassery.

Fragrances are always on my Christmas/Birthday lists, they’re easy and people can’t go wrong. Gucci Rush is my favorite for Badass evenings…sexy and I’ve never met a guy who didn’t like it. One of my favorite badass makeup tricks is to heavily line the inner bottom rim with black liner. You need a really good pencil for this, and I’ve been on the lookout for a new one. So, I asked bff/makeup artist/all knowing beauty product whore Istvan and it was settled. Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #4-Black.
Oh I know. STOP WITH THE COLD PLASMA, right? Well, loves…I can’t. Stuff is GOOD. I’ve been having lot’s of late nights and the guy I’m currently making out with has sexy scruff so my skin should be all messed up, but since I started using this lil bit of magic in a jar not so much. TMI? Whatever. It’s badass, I highly recommend it, and nobody paid me to say that. Perricone MD Cold Plasma $150

The invites are rolling in. Holiday parties, events, the clusterf*ck of this time of year is stressing me out. I’m pretty Grinch like as of late, but it’ll improve. As much as I want to stay home and sit on my couch with Baileys, Pumpkin Ice Cream and It’s Always Sunny, mama has to hustle and network! The bright side? I’ve lost a lot of weight the past few months so I’m going to feel more confident than ever…I need a sassy new frock to get me through New Years, so I turned to Asos.
Which one do you like? I need to place my order NOW! Some of you have warned me about Asos but I haven’t had any problems…probably just jinxed myself.

Istvan…of the YSL mascara fame from this post and so many others before, has started a blog-Makeup, Music & Me. He’s one of my absolute best friends in real life, super fierce, and will make you pee laughing while giving the best beauty advice ever (besides me lol) , so please go say hello. In other beauty news, Perricone M.D’s Cold Plasma?! Due to new bloggy rules, I have to disclose that they sent it to me for free. OK?! EVERYONE GOT THAT? HOWEVER! I never sell out up in here so rest assured I would never blog about it if I didn’t love it. I put too much on the first night and freaked to Brooke, but now that I’ve been using it correctly and not like a toddler for a week my skin is crazy smooth and glowing. Thank you for all the comments on my last post…I hope I didn’t come off sounding like I’m a perfect friend, or bitter because I never want to discount the amazing friends I do have…life happens and hopefully we are lucky enough to have great girls by our side. I consider myself very lucky. Speaking of…one of my best’s has crossed over to the dark side and started a blog!!! Don’t you love it when that happens?! I mentioned Kate in this post about the friends I cherish, and now you can get to know her too! Welcome her to our crazy world at I Am Kate Owens…

So tonight (Friday) I’ve made it a point to make a date with another one of my nearest and dearest! A girly date of the best kind with margaritas, Mexican food and girl talk! It took writing that post for me to realize that sometimes I need to step my game up too. 2 way streets and all.

Saturday I have date with someone of the, ehem, penis variety. I don’t know what we’re doing yet but we always have fun, and I feel like getting dressed up and taking pictures!

Fashion shows are fun!

The pictures below are from one I did when I was Marketing Manager at Arden B…we held it at the Cooper Building in Downtown LA and it was fabulous. The signature cocktails I had the catering company come up with were even more fabulous, as you can see in the second picture. Open bar, much? Let’s just say that if Elizabeth is planning it, there’s going to be an open bar. I have my budget priorities in order HA.

Some of the girls from the Hills were there, Lauren and whatever her name is Audrina? Nicole, Paris…But the best BEST BEST was that David Hasselhoff’s daughter is a big fan of Arden B…so the Hoff showed up with her. I don’t think anyone could take their eyes off him. So bizarre.

So anyway, my bangs…what do you guys think? I’m thinking of getting them back. I have not discussed this with the bf (but he’s reading this I’m sure, so hi baby what do you think?:))

I’m working a weird half day today later but I’m super excited because I’m styling out a photoshoot, which is def one of my top ten things to do in LIFE. I love working on photoshoots! When I was at Arden and it was campaign photoshoot time, my brand manager would yell “style it out, betch” and we would make a huge disaster in the studio until we had the perfect looks to present to the Executive Team in our meeting the next morning.

I always found it slightly amusing/annoying that a bunch of number crunchers wearing suits and ties would try to tell us what they liked and what they didn’t. But we usually won the war.

So, last night, insomnia caused me to bug Istvan about blogging…so he did. I requested MAC shadows VS Chanel or Dior, and you guys need to read what he wrote. And see the picture.

He’s totally hating on MAC (which was to be expected) but whateves, they don’t pay my bills so much anymore, so I agree with a lot of what he says.

If you guys have any beauty questions and/or you just want a laugh, go to him.

He admittedly has the attention span of a baby gnat, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because he’s the fiercest person in my life and I’m excited to share him with you!

Before I go…you’ve met my best friends in this post and previous, you’ve met my hot boyfriend, my sister… but you haven’t met Ms. Bella, the other love of my life. She hates me so much in the picture. Rockin the argyle though, right?

P.S. Apparently taking your “direct report” out at 2 am to Cafeteria in Chelsea for Lychee Martini’s, waffles and maybe some fried oreo’s and throwing it on the company AMEX is “AGAINST COMPANY POLICY.” Just an FYI.

I don’t work for that company anymore but we’re still very close and he is a FIERCE makeup artist-he’s worked for so many lines and has been an Account Exec for Clarins, etc…

I’m SO PROUD!!! He worked on the Domenico Vacca Fall 09 Show on Tuesday!!! Not going to lie, I wasn’t too familiar with this designer besides what he does for Menswear (which is insane though, all men should dress like this), but I love it…I want one of those little black ruffley dresses-that I will NOT zip my motorcycle jacket up over. I also want one of those camel bags, perfect for traveling.


I love how soft the makeup and hair is…he did good, huh??

Oh, yes…Moment of silence for the chiffon top and the jacket. I have some kind of funky one-piece situation going on now…I guess the only time I can wear one is with the other. Two peas in a pod. Of course it’s tricky getting on and off…I felt like I was a five year old when I took it off the first time…”arms up”…the bf had to help me. So amusing. I think it’s time to retire both.

On a less tragic note, I received the cutest award from my love bug at Through The Looking Glass…

I don’t have pics yet of the new hair…Birthday Celebration #2 was fun…toooo fun and the pictures are ridic. So I’ll have some from this weekend for sure.
