With that said, I often get asked the same questions (and refuse to get a formspring), so I thought it would be easy if I answered all the most popular ones here. Why Did You Move To WordPress?
I still don’t know my way around here completely, but what I love is that the options are endless-design, analytics and SEO being the major factors that drove me to make the jump from Blogger. I also want to clarify that my domain is self hosted-I host through bluehost and use the Thesis theme. This is huge because I own my website. Like I said, I’m still learning about all that Thesis and WP in general have to offer as far as “plug ins”, etc go, but I felt it was the right time for me as I have a lot in store for the next year of It’s Unbeweavable!

Do You Own It’s Unbeweavable!?

What Do You Do For a Living?
I do PR in the fashion industry. I’m a freelance make-up artist. I’m a writer and I work as much as I can on my blog and have a lot of exciting things coming up. If you’re interested in learning more or potentially working together, definitely email me.

How Did Your Blog Gain Such a Following?
I’m going to break this answer up into 2 parts-
1. Write about whatever the hell you want to write about. What are you passionate about?! Put effort into it, but remember why you started your blog in the first place-we all, eventually will get caught up in the numbers, the statistics, the page ranks-it can become an obsession-I know. Go back to your first couple of posts from time to time.
2. Read blogs. Make genuine connections, and I stress genuine. What I call “tit for tat” commenting will suck the life out of you and you’ll burn out. Comment on blogs that you love, chances are that blogger will love your blog too. Realize that a great following doesn’t necessarily mean 80 comments per post. So many of my readers don’t have blogs-but they might have Twitter! Use Twitter to foster those connections…If you aren’t using Twitter, but ask me this question, it’s the VERY first thing I will suggest to you.

How Can I Get Stuff For Free Like You Do?
This question makes me so uncomfortable, because I never intended to get any swag and it is NOT why I blog. Don’t ask this question, ya’ll, it’s tacky. I will just say-use your voice. Have opinions. It doesn’t go unnoticed by PR and Marketing companies.

Do You Have Hair Extensions?
Nope! I did when I started It’s Unbeweavable! but have since had them removed and my hair is healthier and longer than it has ever been-so I’m KILLING all the rumors about extensions ruining hair. Specifics-I had individuals (keratin bonds) in the front, and link in wefts in the back and the crown. I used the best human hair available and went to a salon I trusted. The initial cost was about $600.

Will M.A.C Foundations/Powders Break Out My Skin?
Obviously, I drinkdrankdrunk the M.A.C koolaid for quite some time, so I’m admittedly biased. My answer is no, absolutely not. M.A.C began as a make-up line to be used by professionals, and even if it’s readily available everywhere now, it is still professional grade. It is formulated to withstand the bright lights and heat in photo shoots and fashion shows. It is NOT formulated for sensitive skin, it is not going to “heal” any skin problems you might already have. However-you guys, it all comes down to skin care. You absolutely can’t sleep in M.A.C. I know, it happens, we roll in at 2am sometimes, but wash.your.face. And if M.A.C doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t mean it sucks. I’m still drinking the koolaid, apparently.

What Do You Look For in A Guy?
A best friend I can’t keep my hands off of. Laughter. Someone who loves the good in me and forgives the bad, but challenges me to be better. When I say, “I need to get a grip”, he responds with “Grip on to me.”

Will You Write a Guest Post For Me?
Maybe! I can’t promise I will have time at that moment, but I always appreciate the offers.

How Do I Get Sponsors?
For me, it all goes back to relationships-I know every single one of my sponsors and count them as friends. I support them and they support me. Also? Every single thing they sell I am OBSESSED with. Only accept sponsors you love!

Where Do You Find The Pictures You Use In Your Posts?
I am such a visual person that sometimes finding the right image for my posts takes longer than writing the actual post. I am pretty burned out on weheartit.com, but I stalk tumblrs, and have a packed inspiration folder on my computer with images I’ve had for years. Even if it’s not applicable to a post I’m currently working on it, I will still save an image I love because it might be perfect for my next post. Always make sure you can use the image, and always always always link back to the image source. Always.

What Are You Currently Listening To?
Right now I’m into La Roux, Bon Iver, Lady Antebellum, Hot Chip, John Mayer, and Madonna’s The Immaculate Collection will never get old. I usually listen to the same song on repeat while I’m writing a post. I get real O.C.D. up in this piece.

Cracked ribs or not…2010 is starting off AMAZING!

I really don’t want this post to sound obnoxious, but this title, this month, truly means a lot to me-20 Something Bloggers is a HUGE community, over hundreds of thousands of talented bloggers are on this site-just to be nominated in itself was a huge honor. THANK YOU…Thank you for voting for me, seriously, whether it was on your own or I bugged you about it. I joined 20sb when I first started blogging almost a year ago, and through it, I have found some of the most ridiculously talented writers ever, met people whom I can’t go a day..an hour without talking to, people I have flown across the country to meet, and it just keeps getting better. If you are a 20 something…I encourage you to join. We’re friendly.

Awwww you guys! I miss you! It’s so freaking bizarre how much I miss blogging, and it’s only been a few days! Just a busy week and life trumped le blog. Boo being busy, you’re a mean muggin whore with bad hair and ugly shoes! I wish I could share more about what I’m doing but my blog is not exactly anonymous and I can’t be too specific…Things should settle down next week so I’ll be back to my usual daily stalkage.

This week has been tough. The industry I’m in, by definition, while fun and fabulous, is TOUGH. I am battling old demons, but I’m going to be a badass and rock it out…and reward myself with some LOUBIES soon! I’m beating myself up because I haven’t worked out all week, but then again, I’ve barely eaten. (I don’t condone this AT ALL, I’m just saying.) I am a perfectionist and pleaser, working on a project that will never be perfect and nobody will ever be pleased=anxiety city.

Nothing will ever be good enough for them, so it’s just going to have to be good enough for me, with my new shoes and my (soon) new blonde hair. Appt has been made, I’m dragging Hanako along to perhaps film a Vlog or as she said, a “documentary”-”When Liz goes batshit crazy and dyes her hair platinum”…it could be the beginning of a series…”When Liz goes batshit crazy and …” I’ve got material for days, srsly.

But I digress.

I’m sorry to come back and write a post that is more for me than anyone else. I NEED to remind myself tonight, as the week is coming to an end, that next week will be better. That yes, this mess I was hired to clean up is worse than I ever could have imagined, the pressure is palpable but every day, I DO make it better. I was hired for a reason. And I’m getting a damn good name to put on my resume!

I’m probably more excited than you, I know the blogosphere didn’t stop turning just because I was without internet. It’s obscene how badly I am addicted to the interwebs. I blame you. Yes, YOU.

Anyways! I’m back to posting late night in my PJ’s while listening to ne-yo the way god and blogger intended it.

I’m also back “on” guys. Um. Not that I was ever on the “L” train if ya know what I mean. If you remember, this disastrous weekend had me swearing off dudes for a while. I don’t really know what back “on” means, other than someone might have a chance now, while this past month they seriously just haven’t, no matter how great they may have been. 2. Look, more Balmain. I crawled out from under my rock and realized these came in RED and had a shoe-gasm. (We do not speak of cost here.) Are you kidding me? AT&T is a horrible, horrendous company. Not so much the Wireless division, although I don’t really know, as I have Verizon. Home internet/phone…I can’t even tell you how lame of a company they are. I know they won’t be around much longer, chapter 11 has just GOT to be around the corner if not already…what happened to customer service?!

I’ll spare you the re-hash of the entire week of our back and forth, but allow me to share AT&T screws Liz-the Weekend Edition. ENJOY!

Friday evening (remember their shenanigans started on Monday, dolls) -”I PROMISE we will have someone out to your house on Sunday from 8-5“-AT&T idiot manager. Having resigned myself to a weekend without internet and being busy anyway, I plan on a Sunday laying out on my dock, tanning, texting, twittering and fbing on my phone (junkie style) and waiting for the magical AT&T technician to come and restore my hopes and dreams.

This morning I wake up…at NOON haha (late night) and still, no technician man. Sooo…I call….for the 50th time this week- only to be told-”We actually don’t do house calls on Sundays, ma’am, someone gave you incorrect information.” Um…WHAT? I swear to baby jesus I thought I was in the Twilight Zone.

There comes a point in situations like this that no amount of Colombian temper, or sweet talking or LOGIC can help, so I make the apt. for Monday (tomorrow), think of arranging my schedule so someone can be home all day and attempt to make the best of my Sunday, hey at least I’m off house arrest, right?

So I’m whisked away in a brand new BMW with a brand new boy (ohhh) to Newport for sun and sushi, forgetting about AT&T, except to call Chrystina to tell her the latest (poor bestie has had to hear me rant and rave for a week)….and WHAT HAPPENS?!!!!

Phone rings. Random 714 number. Hmm…answer…and it’s an AT&T tech wanting to know if I’m home because he’s done with all his work for the day and saw that my order was the first for Monday. NO EFFERS, I’M NOT HOME! YOU TOLD ME TECHS DIDN’T WORK ON SUNDAYS IN MY AREA! You told me I could leave…deep breath.

Now, I’m a nice girl. Really. I realize that this kind man on the phone is trying to help. I bite my tongue and tell him calmly no, I’m not home (at this point, I just kind of want to cry and look at my date with such a helpless look in my eyes that he goes “oh my gosh Liz, are you ok?” -this amuses me awww.)…and tech-man says, “well let me just go by your house and see what I can do from the outside.” I say thank you, and honestly, don’t have any high hopes. Or low hopes.

But here we are, wireless connected!….no more flashing red lights on the modem that I often feared were going to send me, Gabby or Bella into an epileptic seizure…It amazes and saddens me that the hardworking technicians are probably the most intelligent and customer service oriented members of the entire AT&T family.

AT&T, you suck. Like, at life.

Anyways, I have SO much I’ve been wanting to blog about and share with you guys that I kinda feel like I might explode. I have also been so kindly tagged by a few of you, thank you so much!!! I can’t wait to do them!

On an entirely different note, as I mentioned in previous blogs-I am a True Religion girl. They are my FAVORITE JEANS…and jeans are such a pain in the ass to find that once I found ones I loved, and made said ass look fierce, I stockpiled. I used to wear Joes as well…but stopped…until on Thursday I found THESE! Except mine are in the perfect gray, which I’ve been hunting for! Aren’t the signature Joes tags so adorable? It’s definitely the marketeer in me that loves things like TAGS. HA. I want to blow it up and put it over my bed…is that weird? Don’t answer that.
