Holiday Party Dresses…and a Giveaway!

The invites are rolling in. Holiday parties, events, the clusterf*ck of this time of year is stressing me out. I’m pretty Grinch like as of late, but it’ll improve. As much as I want to stay home and sit on my couch with Baileys, Pumpkin Ice Cream and It’s Always Sunny, mama has to hustle and network! The bright side? I’ve lost a lot of weight the past few months so I’m going to feel more confident than ever…I need a sassy new frock to get me through New Years, so I turned to Asos.

Dress You Up In My Love…

Happy Monday! In my head, that sounded totally sarcastic so just in case it didn’t translate-TOTALLY SARCASTIC. But anyway! The project I’m working on requires me to go into an office (I’m sure I’m getting blank stares from most of you…as you read this from your offices), and last week I was bored out of my mind with my outfits! Therefore, no lookbooks…yet. I love dresses…they’re so easy to throw on, and Hanako, Kelly and Maegan inspire me with the dresses they wear to work. I have to admit though, that dresses are one retail sector that kind of intimidate me, especially when it comes to the workplace. I can wear whatever the heck I want, one of the perks of working in a creative industry, however…if you have boobs or curves like me-lots of dresses can go from cute to skank in 2.5 secs…not professional at all. Below are dresses I would wear to work that won’t break the bank (I despise spending a fortune on work clothes, let’s save that for the Loubies kthxbai.)

As much as I’d love to do a weekend recap, I don’t have time, yo. We have serious fashion business to attend to over here, so I hope you’re ready. I will just say that Sangria from a bottle is not too bad…who knew? Amen to the new black.

Speaking of black. I need a new LBD! Then one of my badgers said she needs one too! In all my excitement over doing the makeup for THE HUGE WEDDING this weekend, I forgot that I need something to wear because I’m staying and ~~making the open bar my biatch~~ hanging out with my girl Hanako66. Immediately thought LBD! Enter… Net-A-Porter. I will be the first to say I have theeee most expensive taste ever. It’s a wee bit of a problem. Enter the lovely Kristin of Bonbon Rose. Quite possibly the most famous clothed chick on the internet. Most definitely one of my favorite girls ever. I ~~begged~~ asked for her take on the LBD and a collaboration was born.

Oh yeah, I’m back baby. I am, of course, super psyched to be once again gracing this rocktastic blog. Lady Liz is my bloggy guru and I lurrrrrrrrve her! Ok, enough of the hero worship. Let’s get to it. Anyone who has seen Breakfast at Tiffany’s knows the importance of having a little black dress in one’s wardrobe. The perfect LBD is something you can always count on, much like a significant other. That’s right babe. I just compared you to a dress. If you read my blog you might have caught me comparing my man candy to an article of clothing before. I love fashion and I love my dude. It’s the ultimate compliment you see. Ah ha. Day Date Dresses?!

Happy Monday dollfaces. I hope you had fabulous weekends?!

Weekend update, cuz bullet points are fun.

Summer is officially here! And it is H-O-T. I am so excited the Cali June gloom and doom is over!
The Drummer/Bachelor #1 is now the only guy I am interested in meeting- I ignored him, he recognized and started calling me cupcake. Men! (That’s the short version, but I mean, there’s not much more to them. ) Our first date is Saturday, which is the 4th-good and bad, right? It’s a group thing so that will be fun…or not fun. Let’s go with fun for now, and on Thursday we can re-visit. Deal? Deal. Of course I picked the rocker. OF COURSE.
Because it’s so hot, all I want to wear are dresses! Or…rompers. I can’t even say that without feeling like a toddler. I KNOW how some of you feel about rompers haha. But I found a few that I really love in addition to some perfect summer dresses. Maybe for the 4th?? Some cute wedges and lots of jewelry? First date, casual (but not too casual) bbqing by the beach, meaning…I have a week to get really tan.
