Spring Forward.

I love Spring! March is one big fat sigh of relief in general. Â November to February is so fun, but a wee exhausting, no? Â I almost feel like this is when my real new year starts. Â I woke up super happy today, after a particularly rough weekend. Â I have so much to look forward to…here’s a little peek into my Spring/Summer.

Bod-spiration. Thank you P90x, Jillian Michaels and daylight savings so I can run at night. (I watch too much SVU and Criminal Minds so I get scurrrred in the dark/always.) Also? Yes, I want a bikini that matches my blog…don’t judge.

Summer cocktails. And by that you know I mostly mean Sangria from a bottle. OH and Caipirinha’s. And basically anything with a lil umbrella ella ella in it.

Hundred plus degree temps. Crowds < Coachella. Worth it. LarouxJayZMGMTVampireWeekendPhoenix. I die.

Trading in the yoga pants for dresses. Dresses that um, support. Fabulous.

Hawaii. Unplugging.

Taking my fashion blogging to new levels with new toys.

Hey dolls!

A little weekend re-cap, L.A Style…I feel like I played tourist in my own backyard this weekend which is kinda fun…Let’s bullet point this ish.

Friday night-Dinner and cocktails with Jessica. Good girl talk. It was nice to hang out with someone who is at the exact same place in life as me-”technically” single, career minded and just kinda going with the flow. It was super fun and badly needed. I wasn’t having a very photogenic evening…I looked like casper next to Jess! Whatev, can’t win em all! Speaking OF…COME ON LAKERS! Boo. Ok. Moving on…

Then the boy came to meet up with us, and surprised me with a bottle of the rare vino we’d loved when we had dinner inside Disneyland a few weeks ago. Aw. Points!

SATURDAY! Intended to sit on my bum, read blogs and watch T.V until getting ready for our dinner date but he surprised me again with…let’s go to the Getty! Ok, I know it was a Saturday in L.A but the traffic was particularly more heinous than usual…and the Getty was so crowded. Like typical L.A folk, we hate crowds and tourists, so pass.

On to Griffith Park, because why would that be crowded too? Ha, yeah…basically we would have had to park in Downtown L.A and hike all the way up, and I was wearing heels of course…but it was pretty driving up in the hills, listening to good music.

Well. We tried. New plan…DRINKS! Tapas and sangria at the coolest, most authentic lil Spanish bar on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. I highly recommend Bar Pintxo. Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Spanish cheese? Yum! Third street is a fun place to walk around and see some amazing, and some not so amazing street performers too.

Then we went to see 2012. I hadn’t heard of this movie because the action/adventure/end of the world genre is notsamuch my thing, but it was really good! Completely unrealistic and cheesy, but John Cusack can really do no wrong in my eyes and it seemed kinda fitting to see a typical Hollywood blockbuster after spending the day playing tourist in L.A.

Do ya’ll like my new blog design?! I LOVE IT! I wanted something so fresh and so clean clean…and my girl crush Annemarie from Brunch at Saks did an ahhhmazing job!! We talked on Friday and my blog was done by Sunday! We’re still playing with a few things too. I love her to pieces and can’t wait to hit some sample sales and force her to be my new L.A partner in crime! If you need any blog help, you must must must go to Annemarie! Srsly. Thank you lady, love you!

All My Shoes in a Row!

I’m super honored to join the dirty little fun havers at Menage a Trois (without the commitment)…“We are 5 twenty-somethings, on a mission to shake up that little bubble you live in. Yep, we are those girls.” So stop by, the party is just getting started. In Unbeweavable news...

These are my confessions, ala Usher…I suck at DIY, and I should never write in a post that I am not going to shop over the weekend. Ok, glad I got that out. I hope we can still be bloggy friends forever!?

I mentioned that I bought 3 pairs of shoes this weekend and a few of my sweet readers have emailed me wanting to see. Ok, but let me just tell you what happened…I am working on a DIY…I know I won’t be at the level of my fav’s love Maegan or E at District of Chic, but so help me…this project will be DONE! If you saw my tweets from this weekend, you know how stressed I was. Oh. The cocktails didn’t help. Do not attempt a DIY while having cocktails. Not pretty.

So anyway, for this project, I need a pair of (faux) suede slouchy boots. I didn’t want to use any of my own boots, because I was afraid to jack them up, and they are totally my investment pieces…along with heels, and bags…le sigh. Saturday I searched everywhere for affordable/cheap boots and this is the WRONG time of year to be on that hunt, especially in Southern California. It’s all gladiator sandals…don’t get me started. No boots to be found! But….ummm…here’s what I did find…on the total cheap. I couldn’t help myself. All three…total under $50! Take that, recession!

I think they’re perfect for summer, and the yellow ones are my fav! I can’t wait to wear them, and if they don’t last forever, who cares?! This is the dock outside my condo, and we have ducks and really big scary birds…and here I am…lining up my shoes… gettin all my little ducklings in a row!

Brand New Day, Good Friends, and 25Park!

Anyone else need a cocktail after that last post? Sorry!! This “fashion” blog of mine has really become so much more than that.(pic is me on my bday a few months ago.)

I’ve introduced you to my close friend Melissa who lives in NYC. If you are new to itsunbeweavable and want to be inspired, the interview I did with her is here. I am so excited I get to see her soon, but for now it’s lots of Facebook, Twitter and Blackberry Messenger. This is kinda us. (I know, she’s GORG!)

In other news, I was recently asked to check out the online luxury boutique 25Park and share it with my readers if I thought it was Unbeweavable!

I don’t talk much about my own job on my blog too much, but I will say that I work in Marketing and PR and I am a HARD SELL when it comes to web sites, styling, look books, and campaigns.
