In case you were losing sleep over what’s going on with me…:)

• My first personal training client is down a dress size! HOLLER! You may know her-she’s kind of a big deal-but we’ll save that for the big reveal.
• I can’t decide between these 2 pairs of black boots.  Help. I mean, I could get both considering the price, thank you Forever21, but NO. Leaning towards the first pair…Thoughts?
• My 86 year old grandfather (aka MY HEART AND SOUL) passed his Drivers Test today! His license was up for renewal and let’s just say, my whole family was a little nervous.  I talked to him after and hearing how happy he was made me teary.  I’m SO glad he still has his independence. And don’t worry, he is the best driver ever. And my heart still melts when he calls me “Sweetheart” …I feel 6 again. I can’t wait to see him on Thanksgiving.
• I once posted a shirt that said “Let’s Talk Shit” (I still NEED it-by Married To The Mob-if you find it for me I will love you forevers), and received a comment from a new blogger I didn’t know, who owns the shirt-hello, soulmate. Fast forward almost a year and I don’t know what I would do without her, she’s a real lifer for sure. She has just shut down her blog, but will be making appearances on mine frequently. ONE DAY THIS SHIRT WILL BE MINE!!!! 
• On that note-all of my “real life” closest friends I have met via blogging. It’s basically online dating for girls who love shoes, have opinions and live their lives out-loud. I just met Amy a few weeks ago, and I’m SO glad she moved here-she’s AMAZING and we clicked instantly.  And now she’s stuck with me.  
• Today (Thurs) I’m making black bean brownies. So…we’ll see how that goes. Anybody tried this? Brownie mix + Can of Black Beans=WE SHALL SEE!
• It’s Lakers season! Meaning, if you follow me on Twitter I apologize in advance. I GO CRAZY.
• I love a boy but he’s not my happy ending. And you know what…that’s ok. He’s funny as hell and gives me butterflies, and sometimes that’s all a girl needs.
• My High School Crush (omg that post was SO long ago) is now my best friend. As in talk everyday, hangout all the time, picks me up when I’m down, makes me laugh and tells me he loves me even when I’m not being very loveable, gives me guy advice and listens to me rant and rave about shoes, jeans and my hair. The memory of being TERRIFIED to walk by him in the hallway at school makes me laugh-and makes him laugh even harder, jerk. He chose to spend his birthday last month with me…just him and I and it was really special, and no, we are not going to date.  While I no longer have a crush on someone I don’t know, I now have a friend whom I love more than life. Hi Ryan. It’s nice to be reminded of the good guys, no?
• I take mirror pictures at the gym when I think nobody is looking. Hi, my game? NO SHAME.
• I’m not dressing up for Halloween this year and it feels SO good! Saving on money and stress and skankyness! Woo!
• I’m dying my hair dark choc brown today! Mmmhmm chocolate. Lily Aldridge is the Hair-spiration. It’s Fall, time to go dark (like my heart bahaha)…and also, highlights are just a pain in my ass and my wallet-my hair grows so damn fast and roots make my OCD flare up…Let’s hope it looks like this…
• I am SO excited about life you guys. I can’t wait to get my new site launched, I can’t wait to be 100% certified, and I can’t wait to share what’s worked and what hasn’t with you and hopefully help you achieve a healthy, BALANCED life!  I’m just happy, and feeling amazingly blessed and I hope you are too.

On that note, what’s up lovers?  Sorry I suck at commenting lately, but I DO read-usually late night on my berry and commenting from my phone is a nightmare.  But I know what’s going on…basically I’m Liz the Lurker. Ohhhh haiiiii…
I MISS YOU. A little over 2 weeks of no blogging, barely any blog reading, rarely tweeting (although I made up for that this weekend like WHOA)…and a lot of thinking about what to do with this lil piece of mine.

First things first though-WHAT A WEEKEND. You know when you’re all, I just want to lay out by the pool and be mellow…and then you find yourself on 6 dates (some with the same person), staying out until 6am (I’m too old for this shit), running bleachers, shopping with the gay bff and buying a romper (A ROMPER. I have this new body kinda…and I guess that means confidence…which I guess means rompers? Help), meeting tons of new people, drinking, drinking, drinking, and then drunk tweeting oops, explaining said drunk tweets to your nearest and dearest girls who are all WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?, making out, and at the end of the 3 day madness cuddling on the couch with a hot guy who just seems to fit, watching the Bachelorette and laughing at his impersonations of  ”the weather man”, making plans for the future and wondering how the hell this happened?

Yep, yep. That’s me. Right now. If this is any indication of how Summer is going to be…I like what I’m seeing. I like it a lot. Starbucks drive-thru fish face with John-pre Whitney Houston sing a long, and yeah he’s wearing a headband.May I recommend some Fat Cat Pinot Noir? Meow.I’m dating a personal trainer. With an MBA. Who watches the Bachelorette with me. Just…let me be happy.

Anyways. I’m sure ya’ll are on pins and needles about what I’m going to do with my blog.  Well.  I’m not leaving you, but I am moving.  To Tumblr.  The last two weeks I’ve been thinking a lot about It’s Unbeweavable!, and what it means to me, and what I can realistically keep up with.  I can’t imagine my life without you (I wish I could quit you), but I also LOVE LIVING MY LIFE, without worrying about taking photos of every moment, or spilling my heart and soul out just for the sake of giving a good read.  On my new site, I’ll be doing more of a “Lifecast”-some days I’ll write, some days I’ll throw up a picture of my new romper, etc.  I’m getting it all set up, and I’ll let you know when it’s ready to go and I hope you like it!!  This is inspired by my all time favorite blogger, Julia Allison. So NO ABSOLUTELY NOT RETIRING!!! You’re stuck with me.

After yet ANOTHER exhausting weekend of getting the guys in my phone confused and possibly forgetting their names (because I give everyone a nickname and now there are too many and why is every guy named CHRIS?! OR RYAN?) I realized I am failing miserably at this cuddleslut business–it was time to bring in reinforcements. I’ll let her do the rest of the talking. Take notes!

Rule Number One:

The first rule of cuddleslut, is do not talk about cuddleslut… Just kidding. The first rule is:

A badass bitch does not settle. Do you hear that? She does. not. settle.

Let it sink in. Let it marinate for a few seconds. Now never forget it.

Do not settle for:
- someone else’s boyfriend
- a cheater
- a liar
- a chain-smoking, online-poker playing, borderline alcoholic with Peter Pan Syndrome (my bad, that was me, I hopped on the bitter train for a second)
- fuckfaces
- douchelords
- anyone who reminds you the tiniest bit of Chris Brown or Kevin Federline or Jesse James

A cuddleslut is never desperate, she is the exact opposite. She makes boys desperate, hoping for just a minute of her precious time.

Rule Number Two:

Quantity versus Quality. What do I mean by that, exactly?

I’m not telling you to say yes to every. single. dude. that asks for your digits. But I’m telling you not to be super picky. A very wise (and sexy) young woman once said “Step out of your dating comfort zone.”

If your gut reaction to a guy was “no”, take a second to evaluate why. If it’s something silly like his shoes, get off your high horse and give the dude the benefit of the doubt.

But if your gut reaction was “no, no, hell no!” because you just saw him mackin’ on a dead ringer for babyslut Taylor Momsen or he’s wearing a t-shirt that says “Federal Breast Inspector” (or worse yet, Ed Hardy) then by all means, go with your instincts girl. Pass!

We have to cuddle with a lot of frogs before we find our prince.

If tall, dark and handsome isn’t working out for you, try another flavor. As a matter of fact, taste the rainbow. Sample every flavor. Medium, blonde and stubbly. Mmmmm.

Rule Number Three:

Let your freak flag fly!

If you want to wear night eye makeup in the day sometimes, do it.
If you want to drink beer and not martinis, do it.
If you want to wear flats to the bar sometimes, do it.
If you want to wear ski socks under your sexy boots, ’cause it’s damn cold outside, do it.
If you want to drink cocktails from a Paul Frank mug on New Years Eve, do it.
If you want to get a fuchsia credit card from a swanky department store, that you will rarely be able to use, just because it’s pink, do it.
If you want to wear pajamas to your own birthday party, f’ing dooooo it. (Yes, some or all of this might be coming from personal experience. I’m weird and that’s why everyone some wicked awesome people love me.)
If you want to wear sweats to the bar, for the love of God, don’t freaking do that.

Be yourself. That way, you will always know that the people that love you, are loving you for you.

Rule Number Four:

Juggle, with honesty and confidence.

So now you’re runnin’ around, having the time of your life. Texting like a fiend. Dating like a man, but still crossing your legs like a lady. Cuddle to your heart’s content. (Make sure you can keep them all straight, unlike some people I know.)

Be up front, you’re not tied down to one guy in particular. Don’t hate the player, hate the game and all that bull shit, is just that, bull shit. Have integrity. Be able to look yourself in the mirror.

Do not become their housewife, their rent-a-girlfriend or their *shudder* “buddy” (unless you want to be in the friends-zone). Do not become Justin Bobby and kiss the black lipstick wearing drunkslut in the bar yards away from Audrina… or you know… situation with genders reversed.

If you decide someone in the rotation is not worth your time, because they turned out to be a douchetard, or you’re just not feeling it, take the appropriate action. Be honest. Be nice. (Unless they don’t deserve it. In which case, be brutal and tell them to go reflect on what an asshole they are.) (Liz here-bwhahahahaha…totes did that! He deserved it, trust.)

But if he’s a nice guy, just not for you, say so.

I Hate (that’s right, with a capital H) to just stop all communication guy. It’s shitty and it’s a cop out. I think a semi-decent guy is owed in the very least a text that says “I have fun, but I don’t feel the right connection. I hope you understand.” And most of the time he’ll suck it up and say that he does… understand… even if he doesn’t and he’s about to go drink a 12-pack and cry to his BFF.

And while we’re on the topic of honesty, the second that you do decide to pick a lucky winner from the bunch and lock that shit down, you need to let the other guys know. Or, you can do what I did and change your facebook status. Let all the assholes know what’s up be a grown up (not!) and stop returning their texts.

Rule Number Five:

Be safe. This is a two parter.

Get your ass on the pill, the needle, the sponge, double bag it, I don’t care. Don’t be someone’s baby mama.

Also, handle your heart with care. The second a dude displays less than admirable qualities either call him on it, or cut his ass loose. (See #4)

First,

I realized how much I’ve been taking for granted. Nasomuch the gorgeous scenery…I’m not going down that route here, although are we spoiled geographically? Absolutely.

I don’t usually eat corn dogs. I eat maybe one hot dog a year, or when they’re forced upon me at sporting events. They just tend to freak me out in general. My sister stumbled upon this little corn dog and lemonade shack one night at 2am once, and she took me there, this time at 2 in the afternoon. We walked on the pier, there were dolphins and I was eating meat on a stick. For the first time in a long time, I felt free. Who knew that’s all I needed?

I’m still searching for balance. Between being here but wanting to be there, NOW, between filling voids within myself with things, people I shouldn’t rather than taking the time to find out what exactly is making me feel so empty sometimes. I’m stuck in that completely annoying place where the one I want is the one I can’t have, and as I sit here typing this, listening to old soul music and quite pleased with the manicure I got today (Essie Mink Muffs ftw), I’m searching for the answer to what the hell am I doing with my life. What really matters? Do we ever really know? Or do we just do the best we can, take the bad along with the good and sometimes, just enjoy a god damn corn dog? It was a REALLY good corn dog.

Today, new beginnings…amazing opportunities. I am now an official freelance writer…you know, one who gets paid. My head is spinning, and when my pieces go up-pieces I am working on like crazy right now, you’ll be the first to know, and as always, your support means the world.

I had so many things I planned on writing about in my first post of 2010. Insert fireworks. But I feel I should warn you.

The VS website says of this bra o’magic-”padded for ultimate lift. LEVEL 5.“ LEVEL 5? That sounds serious and scary and PERFECT. I’m never giving this bra up.

I bumped into my first boyfriend of the decade on the last day of the decade. The scene? Barnes and Noble. Me? Obviously engaged in something very important Twittering on the Crackberry and not watching where I was going but I mean, I’ve pretty much got the whole walking while crackberrying thing on lock, so whatev. Except for when I don’t and end up slamming into my ex boyfriend who is innocently reading Sports Illustrated wearing the Yankee hat I got him ummm like 8 years ago. Really? Can you not get a new one? And yes, I KNOW it’s the same one. Because he mentioned it. And it was awkward.

In summary-he still does that irritating bouncing from one foot to the other thing when he’s nervous, thank you baby jesus for giving me the presence of mind to do my hair and makeup before leaving to run errands that morning, and I’ll be going to Borders from now on, kthxbai.

We didn’t exchange numbers or decide to skip up to Starbucks on the 2nd floor and share a frappucino with 2 straws. Memories of “the good times” didn’t flash before my eyes, and the Aqua Di Gio he still wears didn’t make me weak in the knees like it used to. It kind of blew my mind how there can be absolutely NOTHING between people where there once was everything.

So while I might have twittered about this lil encounter, as soon as I turned my back, it was over. No phone calls to best friends…well, I DID call my Mom. Just to say- I ran into S…and he looks the same. And I looked amazing. Yes, I ran into him. No…we aren’t going out again. No. Way.

But… He totally checked my rack out. BRA FTMFW! (I would like to thank my love muffin Lilu for not only proof reading this post, but also schooling me on what FTMFW means. SUCH a giver.)

Aww you guys, I feel so bad. I have barely opened my laptop in the last couple of days and have been a horrendous bloggy buddy. I’m sorry…but I’m hoping that since we’re all busy, you won’t hold it against me?!

This is going to be a random post. I’ll be posting “sporadically” (RIP Brittany Murphy ugh so sad) until after Christmas-just a lot going on. There are some exciting things in the works for It’s Unbeweavable! in 2010-sorry to be vague, I know that’s annoying, I’m just not allowed to talk about them yet. Boo.

So! What have you been doing/drinking/wearing/buying?! I miss you! I have new hair that I will be posting about-hint, the bangs are BACK, and I have been running around with my crazypants on all weekend, shopping, post officing, wrapping, and working. Shoot me in the face. I mean, yay.

In other news, I had my first family Christmas party on Sat night that I am still recovering from. Child of divorce=like 4 family Christmas celebrations. I’ll be honest. I started to get a little emo getting ready, worrying about the whole “single” thing. I may have cried and called Brooke. But then, you know…it passes. For lack of a better phrase, I got my shit together. Took a deep breath. Put some more mascara on.

And baby jesus had my BACK. Because while this side of my family-the Colombian side-always likes the umm sauce, and parties hard…this year we took it to new levels..high or low? I can’t really decide. It was ridiculously fun, and nobody had to be on their best behavior because of a boyfriend/stranger/guest being there, you know?

My dad-the Colombian corporate financial planner marathon runner social butterfly who still sees Gabby and I as 12 yr olds- was informed of my blog.

I think he was pretty impressed though…but I CERTAINLY pray he doesn’t read it. I know hope he was a lil tipsy when I showed him, because after seeing this lil piece of heaven, he started proclaiming just about everything UNBEWEAVABLE!! The steak he was grilling? “It’s Unbeweavable!” My stepmom realizing that she did, in fact, have internet on her phone? “It’s Unbeweavable!” Taylor Swift’s Christmas CD? (Don’t ask) “It’s Unbeweavable!”

Good times. It really was. I was one hundred percent focused (as much as one can be 100 percent focused when she’s on her 4th glass of wine, that is) on just being present with my family, and it was nice. First single girl Christmas celebration will be filed under “Success”. Booya. 3 more to go…

I’ve had this other post sitting in my drafts for over a week now. I don’t usually write like that. I may put something on hold for a minute but I usually just explode all over my blog. I like it that way. I have feelings, I find my words and share them, release them. But this post wasn’t flowing, it wasn’t “Liz”…I was trying to write about my first Christmas as a Single Girl, and how emo I am about it, and depressed and boohoo. But it’s boring even me, because…maybe I’m not that sad?! I’m over it.

We have lot’s of new people around here, hi, I adore you! Lot’s of you have been on my journey with me though. Quick refresher-started a blog. Had a douchebag boyfriend. Cutesy, lovey, picture-filled posts of our dates. I was totes a “couple” blogger. If you really want to see them, they’re still there. Broke up. Badly. Since then, it’s been up’s and downs, redemption and forgiveness, good dates and bad dates, online dating, decisions not to date and learning to love myself. I wrote my “single love story” here.

Everything is so magnified this time of year. “I’m Single” becomes “OH MY GOD I’M SINGLE NOBODY LOVES ME I THINK I’LL CRY ABOUT IT, THERE WILL BE NO CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR BECAUSE I’M SINGLE.” Well. Here’s the thing, yo. I’m not crying anymore! I’m chilling the eff out. Is it a little bit lonely and do I have memories and flashbacks of holidays past with someone I love? Of course I do! But I am D-O-N-E being all sad. I’m at a new place in my life, on my journey. If I meet a nice Texan boy and end up needing an Austin Divorce Lawyer, so be it. I’m dating a few guys, not blogging about them because A. not sure how to do so without sounding a wee bit skanky and 2. they aren’t worthy of my lovelies just yet. I also don’t think HE resides on the West Coast. So I’m just having myself a good old time for now, because I Just Haven’t Met Him Yet. This is my new anthem. Heard it in the car the other day, and it flipped a switch. Emo off…I JUST HAVEN’T MET YOU YET on! (Best.Song.Ever.)

It’s going to be different. But you know, today I was reminded of something. I do have a really special guy in my life. A guy who has never let me down, who I love more than anyone in the entire world. A guy who, when I think about why I am not settling, comes to mind. He has set the bar high by being a shining example of what a man should be…how he loved my Nana is how I want to be be loved one day. He is my favorite person in the Universe. He has been there for Gabby and I everyday of our lives.

My grandpa. Papa. I am getting a little bit choked up writing this-ok, a lot a bit…see, he’s 85. And I don’t like that one bit. He’s also getting a little forgetful. I really don’t like that. It scares me. This man is SO loved, and my heart will shatter into a billion pieces when I don’t get to hug him on Christmas Day. This year, again…I do. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. It’s going to be a Merry Christmas.

Well, these are some extremely large pictures of me from a spur of the moment bathroom photo sesh this weekend. Thanks to Brunch at Saks and Dream Sequins for showing me how to use larger pictures (I’m challenged), and this is just for testing purposes. I want to do makeup how to’s etc, and blogger’s teeny pictures don’t cut it. So here I am. Hi. Not used to seeing my mug so big up in this piece, kinda trippin me out…If you’re my FB friend you’ve seen these, I totes blew my load over there. HA.

As you can see, I’m still a brunette. Boo. I’ve had the most frustrating time finding a stylist who will grow some balls and turn me platinum. HELLO?! I live in Southern Cali. Hardly anyone has natural blonde hair here. I left my appt on Saturday near tears, which is THE worst feeling, right? If you follow me on Twitter, you know I was not happy. I think I said “she jacked up my bangs” lit-rilly 6 times. I have some prospects on the horizon…good lord I am this close to taking matters into my own hands! But I won’t. Yet.

Anyways. High school crush has reared his ugly gorgeous head again. You know the feeling where you’re having innocent midday coffee with someone and all you want to do is jump over the table and have your way with him because you can’t stop thinking of the shirtless pictures you saw of him on FB , but I mean it’s Starbucks, and you’re classy, and it’s complicated and yeah…but my my….

His picture in my senior year yearbook has a heart around it. Awww’s all around. He was hot then, and hotter now. And funny, witty and complicated. To clear up any confusion-I am single! Which means…OPTIONS OPEN! Fun, fun…10 years later.

I think I just said too much. WHAT ELSE IS NEW.
