Happy Friday!! This week has been a toughie! Going from the best time ever with Brooke back to reality…boo! So this is new territory for me-home decor, as I don’t spend that much time in or on my condo. I mean, it’s cute no doubt, I live with my wombmate and she’s cute too…but I guess you could say it’s lacking in heart.
And that is whack, yo! I have to admit that interiors intimidate me. While I can pick out an outfit, do some make-up or a marketing campaign easy, I don’t fancy myself crafty or DIY-ey …I always thought that spending hours on wall paper, etc was something that I would do with my hubby and it would be so fun and he’d wipe paint on my nose and we’d laugh…and while that may still be in the cards for me, WHY NOT start now? I DON’T NEED A MAN! (Um, it’s huge for me to say that, and mean it.)
So here is the beginning of my home dreamboard of sorts…in gathering these images today it’s clear that I like white with pops of color…so I already have a place to start, as a move is in my future and man or no man, my place is going to look BOMB. And ya’ll can come over for cocktails! I have to say that I am very inspired by so many of you, Brunch at Saks and Kristen, both of you come to mind…

I love interior design! OMG it is my second obsession to shoes….The hubs and I have completely DIY'd a 1950's home and made it into an eclectic, quirky paradise!!! I take my inspiration from a lot of places, but mostly just whatever pops into this crowded brain of mine

Yeah, I know! Let's get our house when we marry, and then we'll worry about that. Yesterday, (in the moving process) my mom was like "it's just an apartment, who cares?" I started to cry! Don't get me wrong…my apartment will never be magazine quality, but at least you can tell I know how to coordinate from Target.

I will say that trying to decorate with a boy is not an easy task, I'm still trying to convince him to take the Dog's Playing Poker picture off the wall. Oh and painting together not as much fun as you would think.

Ah, I've seen that rainbow bookshelf pic before and I fall for it every time. It's completely amazing and makes me want to install floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and color code my book collection like, immediately. In love with this.

Just a quick question about the 'media' part though… because that word is something I associate with either media agencies (i.e. those who book tv and print ad space) or the film/tv production industry… are you going to be directly involved in media or still doing marketing? So… I love to decorate but I am far from original. Here are some great design blogs: Peacock Feathers, Apartment 34, High Heeled Foot in the Door.
I also love Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware catalogs. I study their looks and then look for the goods at thrift stores or Target or less expensive places and recreate their style!

I really need to redecorate. I'm debating between the first picture (gorgeous stairs!) and the second to last one (I adore Cherry Blossoms!). Such pretty selections. I'm sure you will do something splendrous!

OMG! All totally divine but if I had, had, had to choose a fave it would be the one with the bay window overlooking the city with the white walls and cherry blossom – I'd probably never ever leave the house if I lived there!
