Happy Tuesday!
I am sitting here, anticipating my Fall wardrobe…what pieces do I really want, when can I start tucking my jeans into my boots….but I’m SO HOT. I can’t even think about what to wear tomorrow because all I want to wear is a bikini and some Hawaiian Tropic, and float around with Just a Small Town Girl at Mandalay’s pool with a pina colada in my hand in Vegas (I’m coming!). Was that the longest sentence ever? Ok, good.
I don’t like spending too much on summer clothes…even in Cali, where the weather is usually so nice, I live for chilly nights, layering, etc. It’s way easier to be Badass in the Fall and Winter, right? I am going to love NYC! But I digress..I found this adorable dress while perusing the latest Lucky, and have two shoe options…favorites Havainas or Choos! And then my hair…oh it’s been chillin in a loose bun…

In other exciting make-up news, my girl Hanako66 at Through The Looking Glass is SO INCREDIBLE and if you’ve been reading her blog, you know she’s been single handedly planning a huge Great Gatsby themed wedding next month for her friend, it’s going to be so amazing. thats one thing about NYC….or east coast in general..there are seasons. real seasons…not sunny and overcast.

I totally agree, it's so much easier to be bad ass when you can layer things
and add scarves (oh, scarves!).

I recently discovered I can't dress for summer anymore:P as it's my 3rd year in Scotland and you don;t get to much summer here;))

Well, you'd love it here in the UK, today it is supposedly the middle of our summer, but it is rainy and chilly! but strangely when I left for work this morning it was warm and sunny…

I love, love, love plaid and I just think you're going to look gorgeousss with that outfit (whether you go with Havianas or Choos)! The summer nights here are still pretty cool sometimes – so layering can be a necessity, but I guess I always took that for granted and longed for fabulous California weather

I wish it would get unbearably hot here…I've never longed for a heat wave more than now…usually I complain about them but the weather has been so unseasonably cool in NYC that I just want a really hot summer day. then again, I LOVE fall so much…and you will LOVE fall in NYC.

I love fall attire also, but I'm still enjoying the shorts and flip flops and the loveliness of cool showers and I also adore having longer days… don't want it to pass too soon!

Thanks for the welcome back, NYC was so much fun, I just wished I had more time to shop!! I just know NY is hurting for my money to stimulate their economy!! When I make a trip there again, it will be strictly for shopping!! I bought so much stuff I had to FedEx two packages to myself back home. NY surely stimulated my love for fashion and clothing all over again!!!! I think you will love it especially since I heard you were looking to move over there. Hope you are having some good luck!!
