I originally wrote this for Five Lipstick Stains (On Your Collar), but I’ve revised it a bit and I want it on It’s Unbeweavable as well, cuz it’s my blog, and I can do that. And between yesterday and tonight THE Butterflies are only getting stronger. So if you follow us dirty little fun havers over there (oh you don’t? you should), and have already read this, I apologize…kinda. 
These are THE butterflies.
Oh, I’ve been around, I know all the different kinds of butterflies. These are the ones that are so good I can’t eat, can’t stop thinking about you, I know we just got off the phone but why aren’t you texting me butterflies. These are the butterflies that leave me sitting on my bed wishing I could smell you, feel you, loose myself in you, missing you with an ache so strong I can feel it in every, single part of my body. The butterflies that don’t just flutter, they whirl and tremble and quiver, and as my heart pounds, I think….yes. These are the butterflies that have always lead to something…something meaningful, and life changing. These are the you are more than just a one night thing kinda butterflies, baby.
He says things like “Just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking about what an amazing woman you are and how the thought of you warms my soul.” I had a bad dream and he was there… I mention that Ben Folds “The Luckiest” is one of my favorite songs…so he learns it and plays it for me on his acoustic guitar the same day. We have plans made, things to do, everywhere I go I wish he was with me, and he consumes my every thought from sweet to scandalous. These are the butterflies where two end up becoming one.
These are also the butterflies that terrify me to my core. The other kinds, sure they flutter, but I control them. Those butterflies are my bitches. The butterflies I have now…part of me wants to run but they will catch me, and I just want to run to him, anyway. Watch what you wish for I guess.
I don’t fucking want these butterflies if they are slowly, painfully, one by one, going to drop from the sky and die. Maybe in 6 months, maybe in 3 years, whatever. I don’t want them if they aren’t going to fade into something better…something lasting, strong, healthy and safe. I want them to go away so bad sometimes.
But not as bad as I want you. Here. Now. Forever?
These are THE butterflies.

Butterflies fly away…NO not ever!!! From am to pm they flutter. How is it that such a feeling can make us sooo raw and open? We long for this…we crave this…yet we are afraid at times. These wings are addicting- GO chase them ♥

Those butterflies are a natural part of life. Sometimes we are surprised when we get them. I wasn't excepting them when I met my last girlfriend. She was ten years older than me. Divorced with three kids. It happens.

With three kisses, you know it will end in heartache but the joy you feel now makes you wanna jump in anyway and hope for the best.

Oh, I know that feeling. I had that feeling with my husband- the, "oh my God, I'm going to throw up I like him so much, and I just won't be able to take it if he breaks my heart" butterflies? They were definitely a good omen for me.

An even better read the second time around. Find the right guy lady and he'll still be giving you butterflies years later. Sometimes I'll catch the hubs looking at me and just like that…the butterflies are back. If this guy is worth his salt, you're giving them to him too. : )

That's a feeling we love and hate. We love how it feels, but we're also so scared of getting hurt that we hate too. I love to feel the butterflies, but then I just start getting scared. "What is this isn't right? What if it's going to hurt AGAIN?"
But honestly Liz, it hurts so much when it hurts, but it feels so good when it doesn't.

The butterflies…errgh. You love to hate them and hate to love them. Everytime they flutter you find yourself wishing for the butterflie net. They make it really difficult to make sane decisions, like falling for someone you can't really have.
But they are nice, shockingly scary but nice none the less.
