The Shopaholic Books by Sophie Kinsella are my absolute favorite guilty pleasures. I LOVE them! Between Twinny and I, we have all of them and I never get sick of them. They’re a staple…I can pick one up on any page and immediately get sucked in. I was SO excited when I heard they were making a movie out of the books!! Excited until I started seeing some of the trailers…WTF?!!
Did anyone involved with the movie ever actually READ the books? I’m so baffled, you guys, seriously. It’s not a matter of British actresses vs non British actresses or anything like that. I think Isla Fisher is so gorgeous and funny and I love her. And it looks like a cute movie and I’m sure with Jerry Bruckheimer involved it will be just that…I’ll probably really like it and then buy the DVD when it comes out. But it’s not Confessions of a Shopaholic. It honestly makes me kind of sad. Now I know how all you Twilight fans felt! 
I hope that I walk out of the theatre eating my words.

I didn’t read the books but I have to say that the trailers don’t make me want to see it at all …and maybe it’s target market is 15yr olds?
*You copy the award image, make a blog post where you link it to me …then nominate 5 or more others who you want to give it to. You can then place it in your sidebar or not. It’s up to you …mostly, it’s a way to network your blog and get others to post links, etc ..extra links boost your technorati score as well
I agree, loved the books and was a bit bummed when I saw the trailor but am still so excited to see it! I do think that it sucks that they gave her an American accent (I do not care, however, that cutie Isla is from Australia).
